TTI signs University of Cantabria agreement for new Electronic Warfare Postgraduate Programme

TTI has signed the agreement for the Electronic Warfare Postgraduate programme with the University of Cantabria and the Defense Industry Cluster at a special ceremony in Santander marking the introduction of this new specialised course to the university curriculum.

TTI partnered with other companies in its sector including ERZIA Technologies, Indra and Sener Aeroespacial, working alongside the Defense Industry Cluster to develop content for the course as well as provide guidance and financial support.

As a result of the collaboration, the university will be able to offer an expert programme in electronic warfare in the 2022-2023 academic year, leading to a Master’s Degree qualification the year after for postgraduates looking to specialise in this area and benefit from employment opportunities.

The new programme will focus on electromagnetic technology in defence, a subject which is gaining increased significance on a global military level as well as from industry in Spain and across Europe where demand for people with specialised skills in this area has risen exponentially.

TTI was able to leverage its expertise in developing radiofrequency, antenna and ground station solutions for military and security applications, gained from over 25 years in the industry, to help devise technical content and practical course modules, as well as provide financial assistance to the university.

Joining the partners at the signing ceremony in the Government Pavilion at the University of Cantabria, TTI CEO Cristina Barquín said, “We are very proud to be here today to sign this agreement which will enhance the university’s already excellent technical reputation, and to provide knowledge and resources for the specialist degree courses of tomorrow.
