Between the antenna aperture and the first active component in the RF chain sits a series of passive waveguide elements — feed horns, polarisers, and orthomode transducers — whose collective performance determines cross-polarisation isolation, pattern symmetry, and impedance matching for the entire system. In satellite communications, radio astronomy, and antenna measurement, these components are not interchangeable commodities: their electrical and mechanical precision directly determines what the system behind them can achieve.
Celestia TTI designs and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of precision passive RF components spanning three complementary families. Feed horn antennas cover UHF to millimetre-wave frequencies in seven distinct product configurations, from corrugated horns for satellite and radio telescope receivers to open-ended waveguide probes for antenna test range applications. Orthomode transducers (OMTs) separate and combine orthogonal polarisation channels across the full frequency range from very low microwave to V band. Waveguide polarisers convert between linear and circular polarisation in Ku band, enabling frequency-reuse satellite system operation and simplified mobile terminal alignment.
All three families are designed for integration with each other — feed horns, polarisers, and OMTs are mechanically and electrically compatible as components of a complete passive feed chain assembly.
Seven product families covering every major application: linear-polarised corrugated horns (LPHA, 0.55–170 GHz), dual-linear polarised horns (DLPHA, 0.55–75 GHz), dual-circular polarised corrugated cylindrical horns (DCPHA, 10–60 GHz), dual-ridged horns for EMC reference measurements (DRHA, 2–18 GHz), standard gain horns (SGHA, 0.5–60 GHz), open-ended waveguide probes for antenna test ranges (OE-RWP, 0.49–110 GHz), and log-periodic dipole arrays (LPDA, 0.5–2 GHz). Datasheets available for all families.
The LPHA family offers rotationally symmetric radiation patterns with low back radiation and low cross-polarization that make it excellent for satellite communications and reference antenna testing
Using an orthomode transducer and axial corrugated horn, the DLPHA family offers dual polarization, rotationally symmetric radiation patterns and very low cross-polarization
Using a polarizer and an orthomode transducer, the DCPHA family offers dual circular polarization with outstanding electrical performance
High gain, low VSWR and high-precision that make design and manufacturing DRHA family an excellent option for EMC as reference gain antennas
The SGH family offers high gain, low cross polarization and symmetrical radiation patterns that make it excellent for reference antennas testing
Low cross polarization, lightweight and high-precision design and manufacturing that make OE-RWP family excellent for antenna test range feeds
With extremely lightweight and low profile structures LPDA family offer versatile solutions for time-saving in test range measurements
High-performance waveguide polarisers for transmission and reception, converting linearly polarised signals to Left-Hand or Right-Hand Circular Polarisation (LHCP/RHCP). Standard solutions in Ku band for both Tx and Rx paths; custom solutions available at other frequency bands. Designed for integration with Celestia TTI’s corrugated horn and OMT families as part of complete feed chain assemblies.
Wide portfolio of waveguide orthomode transducers separating or combining two orthogonally polarised microwave signal paths with high port-to-port isolation. Standard solutions in Q/U/V band, K/Ka band, and up to 18 GHz; custom solutions at any frequency band. Cryogenic-compatible designs available for radio astronomy and deep space receiver applications down to 4 K.
Passive RF components specified and manufactured by the same team that designs the complete feed chain carry a fundamental advantage: mechanical interfaces, waveguide standards, and electrical performance are co-optimised from the outset rather than reconciled after the fact.
Celestia TTI’s passive RF component families are designed to work together. The DLPHA dual-linear polarised horn integrates an OMT and axial corrugated horn into a single assembly. The DCPHA dual-circular polarised horn adds a polariser to that chain. For scientific receiver and earth station projects, Celestia TTI supplies complete feed chain assemblies — horn, polariser, OMT — tested as an integrated system rather than as a collection of separately sourced components.
This integrated engineering approach, combined with nearly 30 years of experience supplying passive RF components for satellite, radio astronomy, and antenna measurement applications, and manufacturing under ISO 9001:2015 certification, makes Celestia TTI a credible partner for feed chain projects where performance margins cannot be compromised.
